In the Green Kitchen

Nice article on Salon today about Alice Water's new book In the Green Kitchen: Techniques to Learn by Heart. The book and this article address the food movement and access to good food for all, not just the "foodies." From the article:
Good food can be and should be political. It's not just for the elites. It's one sector of our economy over which we have more control than we think. We just have to take ownership of it.
Water's new book addresses this issue and aims to teach about the basics of good cooking, something lost on too many in this country today. It's an important message about the world we live in and the food we choose to eat. I haven't read the book yet but I'd love to get my hands on a copy of it!
